Caption: Thousands of persons lined Ypsilanti streets Saturday to view the 28th annual Fourth of July parade sponsored by American Legion Post 282. The 40-minute parade included more than 70 units, one of them Ypsilanti High School's colorful Girls Drum & Bugle Corps (right). Also receiving applause along the two-mile parade route was a float on which four couples square danced (top right). The youthful motorist (above) edged into the end of the parade and maintained his place to the end. Robert K. Fashbaugh (top left) of 1222 Shirley Dr., Ypsilanti township, donned his traditional clown nurse's attire to amuse youngsters lining the curb.
