"Downtown merchants, city officials and the visiting wooden shoe Dancers from Holland, Mich. pushed brooms down Main St. Saturday morning. It was the annual spring cleanup here and a reminder for all residents to keep Ann Arbor beautiful by removing trash, debris and dirt. A heavy spring rain followed the sweep-down effort. Showers continued into the night and there's a chance of more rain today."
