Stadium Turf Comes Out, June 1969

A bulldozer, a road scraper and several trucks were being used in Michigan Stadium on Saturday to remove the grass turf and prepare the field for the installation of the new artificial turf. Tartan Turf will be laid down at a cost of between $250,000 and $300,000.
