"Girls gathered yesterday on the grounds of the Zion Lutheran Church for all-city croquet tournament sponsored by the Ann Arbor Recreation Department. Singles and doubles horseshoe tournaments also were held for boys. Area youngsters between the ages of 7 and 15 from the West Side and East Side Parks leagues participated in the events."
