Kiwanis Club Plants Trees In Buhr Park, May 1962
Caption: Plant Flowering Crab Trees: These Ann Arbor Kiwanis Club members planted 70 flowering crab trees yesterday in Buhr Park under the supervision of the Parks Department. The six-foot-high trees were planted in clusters in the Kiwanis beautification project. It calls for the club to spend $200 a year on 100 flowering crab trees, which are donated to the Parks Department. The club has planted approximately 900 trees in areas in the city since the beautification project began about eight years ago.
