Another At The Same Time: Weakened by having to fight two simultaneous fires, the Ann Arbor Fire Department nevertheless scored a quick victory over the Modern Appliance Co. fire. Here, Firefighters shoot blasts of water into the front of the store. Though firemen had been on the scene only a few minutes when this photo was taken, flames had already raced through the shop and seethed upward to the apartment above. Occupants of the apartment were rescued.
