Lifelong Resident Was Former Fireman Fred T. L. Jolly, 70, of 1025 Packard St., member of an old Ann Arbor family, died yesterday afternoon in Dr. Neil Gates' private hospital after a brief illness. He was born May 6, 1867, in Ann Arbor, son of William and Mary Judson Jolly. He had lived in Ann Arbor his entire life. He was married to Frances Lerg of Ann Arbor, Sept. 1, 1904. He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal church. He formerly was employed by Couzens and Hall, Ann Arbor florists. For 10 years he was a member of the Sixth ward fire department. For the last 14 years he has been employed by the White Swan laundry. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Frederick of Dearborn, and Carleton of Trenton; and a daughter, Dorothy of Ann Arbor; a brother, R. E. Jolly of Chelsea; and a sister, Mrs. George H. Cleveland of Glencoe, Ill., and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Muehlig chapel with Rev. Henry Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
