Rev. Henry Yoder of Trinity Lutheran church and Rev. E. C. Stellhorn of Zion Lutheran church officiated for the service which consisted of scriptural readings, prayers and a brief tribute. Polland was active in the Lutheran Student club.
Among the faculty members attending were Dean Joseph A. Bursley, Dean Wells I. Bennett, Prof. Ralph Hammett, Prof. Emil Lorch, Prof. George McConkey and Prof. F. N. Menefee.
The body was taken to Buffalo, Polland's home, accompanied by his parents, who came here for the services, and by two fraternity brothers, A. James Albert of Colorado Springs, Colo., roommate of Polland, and Julius Heller of Ann Arbor.
