Kroger Opens 'Super Market'

Kroger Grocery & Baking Co. has added another unit to its chain of grocery and meat stores in Ann Arbor with the opening of the new Kroger "super" market on S. Main St. at Mosley St. A parking lot for shoppers' convenience is provided along the north side of the building.

New Store Is Located At Main And Mosley Sts.

Kroger's new "super" market on S. Main St. at Mosley St. is now open for business, less than two months after work was started on the one-story brick building.

Completely furnished with new equipment, according to an announcement by the Kroger Grocery & Baking Co., the store building is 40 feet wide and 120 feet deep, with 3,724 square feet of retail space.

On the north side of the store Kroger has paved a 50 by 120-foot parking lot for the convenience of shoppers. The store is operated on a self-service basis, carrying a full line of groceries and meats.

Kenneth Martin is manager of the grocery department and Henry Miller manager of the meat department.

Defense stamps will be sold at the store.
