St. Andrew's Episcopal church was the scene Saturday afternoon of a ceremony uniting in marriage Miss Elizabeth McOmber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Trowbridge McOmber of Fair Oaks Pkwy., and Capt. Urban Chester Ullman, son of Mrs. Charles Everett Ullman of East Orange, N. J. Rev Henry Lewis officiated at the service.
The bride's gown, worn by her mother and sister, Mrs. Walworth Rood Slenger, for their marriages, was a handrun pointe d'Alencon robe over ivory satin. Her long veil fell from a tiara of point lace which belonged to her great-grandmother, Mrs. Charles Dana Bigelow of Brooklyn, N. Y., and she carried white roses and baby breath.
Mrs. Alphonse Favreau of Madison St., wearing her own bridal gown of pina, was matron of honor and carried a delphinium bouquet of varied colors.
Miss Margaret Houston of Kingsley St. was maid of honor, while Miss Kathryn Walsh of Chicago, Ill., was bridesmaid.
Both attendants were attired in gowns worn at Mrs. Favreau's wedding, yellow taffeta with full net skirt and basques of Jusi, banana fibre from the Philippines. Their Juliet caps were of yellow net and they carried delphinium and Johanna Hill roses.
Lt. Joseph F. Wiedeman of the Civil Affairs Training School was best man, with Maj. Roy Pell, Maj. Cynan Williams of England, Capt. Laurens Nicholson, Lt. (jg) Lloyd Tidman, Lt. (jg) Henry Loeb, III, and Lt. Harold Dawson, all in the University civil affairs school, ushering.
A reception followed the ceremony in the Michigan League. After a four-day wedding trip the couple will reside at the Michigan Union. For going away, Mrs. Ullman wore a dressmaker suit of brown and aqua with brown accessories.
The bride is a graduate of University High school, Pine Manor at Wellesley, Mass., and the University where she was affiliated with Gamma Phi Beta.
Capt. Ullman received his A. B. degree at St. John's College at Annapolis, Md., and his M. S. degree at Middlebury College, Vt. Having served overseas, he is now studying in the Civil Affairs Training School at the University.
