JUNE LIGHTHALL BECOMES BRIDE OF J. G. WRIGHT

June Lighthall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Lighthall of Melrose Ave., became the bride of Jonathan Granger Wright Saturday night at the First Presbyterian Church.

Rev. William P. Lemon officiated at the candlelight ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Avery G. Wright of Roaring Brook, Mich., are parents of the bridegroom.

Gowned in a colonial style dress of Chantilly lace over satin, the bride wore a waist-length veil held in place with a lace cap. She carried white phalaenopsis orchids and stephanotis on a lace fan.

Her matron of honor, Mrs. William C. Lighthall of Hawthorne Rd., the bride’s sister-in-law, wore a ballerina length white marquisette dress embroidered in ice blue satin with a matching sash and an ice blue satin hat. She carried stephanotis, forget-me-nots and white roses on fan.

Bridesmaids Identically Gowned

The bridesmaids, Robyn Rathman of Middletown, O., Evelyn Gardner of Whitewood St. and Sue Hendrian of Olivia Ave., wore identical dresses.

Avery G. Wright served his son as best man. Ushers were William Lighthall, brother of the bride, James Gibson of Cincinnati, O., Scott Jaggar of First St. and Perry Ellis of Birmingham.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Assisting about the rooms were Nancy Goodhew of Lorraine Pl., Joan Badgley of Hill St. and Mrs. M. C. Taylor of Tuomy Rd.

Others Assisting Named

Others were Mrs. Carl Stuhrberg of Harding Pl., Mrs. William Slocum of Farmington, Mrs. Logan C. Miller of Washtenaw Ave., Mrs. Raymond E. Spokes of Devonshire Rd., Mrs. Fred E. Benz of Devonshire Rd., Mrs. Earle C. Fingerle of Barton North Dr., Mrs. Walter Lay of Geddes Ave., Mrs. Thomas Lacy of Berkshire Rd. and Joyce Backbarth of Pauline Blvd., assisting.

Pouring were Mrs. Bert Schumacher of Brooklyn Ave., Mrs. Francis J. Lapointe of Vinewood Ave., Mrs. John Ervin of Glenwood Ave., Mrs. George Lewis of Lincoln Ave., Mrs. Sidney LaFever of Melrose Ave. and Mrs. Maynard Newton of Washtenaw Ave.

For her traveling costume, the bride chose a charcoal grey shantung suit with ice blue and navy accessories. The couple will take their wedding trip after attending the summer session at the University.
