Barbara Wilson spoke her marriage vows to E. Calvin Whipple, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whipple of Scio Church Rd. Saturday night at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
Rev. Henry Lewis officiated.
The bride, daughter of Mrs. Agnes Wilson of Ferdon Rd. and Ralph Wilson of Richard St., was gowned in nylon tulle over satin. Her illusion fingertip veil fell from a Dutch bonnet and her bouquet was of white orchids, roses and stephanotis.
Mrs. Milton Reimold of Waters Rd. wore a gold gown with a lace jacket and matching headdress as the matron of honor. She carried a bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums and cavalier.
Two Bridesmaids
Sarah Bush of Oswego St. and Patt Staib of Packard St. were bridesmaids. They wore turquoise lace gowns over taffeta with matching headdresses and carried buff colored chrysanthemums and yellow roses.
Ronald Heiber of Ann Arbor was best man. Roy Fahrle and Dale Sweetland, both of Waters Rd., were the ushers.
The reception, which followed the ceremony, was held in the church. Mrs. Arwin Strieter of Scio Church Rd. and Mrs. Nelson Strieter of Scio Church Rd. were in charge of the cake. Nancy Jeanne Hannah of Shadford Rd. and Nancy Thayer of Harvard Pl. served coffee. Donna Ritter of W. Huron St. and Julia Ross of W. Madison served punch.
Elizabeth Hait of Brooklyn Ave. was in charge of the guest book.
The couple postponed their wedding trip and will make their home on Dexter Rd.
