Maude Ford Sink, 69, wife of Dr. Emory W. Sink, assistant professor emeritus of industrial health and ophthalmologist emeritus of the University’s Health Service, died yesterday noon at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. The couple lived at 1546 Packard. Mrs. Sink was born on May 7, 1890, in Irondequoit, N. Y., the daughter of John and Lillian Ford. She was graduated from Churchville, N. Y., High School in 1907 and received a bachelor’s degree from the U-M in 1912. From 1912-25 she taught biology and other subjects at Ann Arbor High School. Mrs. Sink was one of the founders of the Michigan Dames, and a patroness of Alpha Delta Phi sorority. She was a member of the Ann Arbor Garden Club, the Faculty Women’s Club, the American Association of University Women, the League of Women Voters, and the Washtenaw County Medical Society Auxiliary. Survivors in addition to her husband are a sister, Mrs. Chester G. Perry of Ft. Myers, Fla.; a nephew, Robert Easton Perry, and two grand-nephews, John E. Perry and Kriste G. Perry, all of Ann Arbor. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Muehlig Chapel. The Rev. Hoover Rupert, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. The body will be cremated.
