This aerial photo shows the partially completed Ann Arborland Shopping Center layout. Washtenaw Ave. is in the foreground. Arborland, a $5,000,000 installation, will contain 40 stores and parking for 3,000 cars. The Montgomery Ward & Co. Store (upper left) will contain 120,000 square feet. About 35 firms so far have agreed to locate in the center, including J. C. Penney, Winkleman’s, S. S. Kresage Co. and the Kroger Co. Completion is expected in October.
