R.O. Brunvand Heads Publicity For UF Drive

Richard O. Brunvand manager of business and civic affairs for the Chamber of Commerce, has been named publicity chairman for the 1970 Ann Arbor Area United Fund campaign.

His appointment is the first made by Robert Asleson, general campaign chairman for this fall’s drive.

A graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in general communications, Brunvand has lived in the Ann Arbor area for the past four years. Before assuming his present duties at the Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce, he was news director at WPAG Radio for two years.

He is presently active as a member of the board of directors for CAP, Inc., of the Community Relations Committee; for the Whitmore Lake Boys Training School, the Vocational Education Committee for Ann Arbor Public Schools and the, Senior Citizens Employment; Committee. He also is active vocational exploring activity of tire Portage Trails Council of Boy Scouts.

In the past he has been a [member of the Ann Arbor Jay-cees and the Washtenaw County March of Dimes board. He also has served as county campaign director for the March of Dimes.

Brunvand and his wife, Lois, live with their two daughters at Whitmore Lake.
