Breakfast is a sood bet at this 'normal' restaurant

pretty big for a coffee shop, or maybe just
better arranged than most- At lundilime-
it's lull of hullabaloo, hustle-bustle and
hurly-burly.

The permanent menu Is vast, in the dell
style, and has an arMitional sheet in the
seldom-.' oh medium. (The
sight o! ; iite paper caused
an immcfi-uf .^•si.-.^-ade flashback in
one Crumpet.)

Daily specials run the gamut from cot-
fee shop to ethnic - the blue plate classic
beef tips over noodles to shish-ka-bob
with rice, totally predictable to deja-vu -
pork tenderloin with apple sauce to mush-
room burger with cheese. (Did the mush-
room burger, a.k.a. Nemo burger, move

One of the menu's best ideas is only car-
ried out halt-well: the specialty salads

available as half-orders, but the prices
are reduced by only 10 per cent, or in one
case, 10 cents. An exception is the reduc-
tion on the shrimp half-salad - $3.05
marked down from $4.05.

Breakfast is one of the best bets: hash
browns come out of the freezer, so they're
a little dry, but butter comes alons to w
vide needed moisture (and
calories and cholesterol.) The i

If you eat before 11 a.m., the Film Flam
has lots of breakfast specials. One regu-
lar Crumpet say "' „ ii ^ it place to go
