Remembering Summer: Oils & Watercolors by Marcelle Gray

"In the midst of winter and the holiday season it is fun to remember summer days in the sun. Filled with light, these impressionistic paintings are meant, for a moment, to recall those days on the beach, by the lake, picnicking in a meadow and traveling in sunny locales." - Marcelle Gray

Letterpress Lab

This weekly lab will introduce you to the process, the materials, the machines, and the satisfaction of printing by hand on a cylinder proof press and small platen press. Whether you're new to letterpress or know the lay of a type case like the back of your hand, you'll enjoy playing with AADL’s collection of wood and lead type.

AADL staff will be on hand to show you the basics and we'll explore more advanced printing techniques with special guests. No prior experience necessary. Supplies are provided. You're welcome to return every Wednesday evening to work on multi-week projects.

This program involves direct handling of lead-based type and is therefore not suitable for small children.
