This machine is one of the largest, if not the largest, tractors to be introduced in the county, according to Ralph S. Jenkins, Dexter dealer. On the "Nebraska Test" it registers 47.04 h.p. on the belt, maximum, and 41.36, maximum, on the draw bar.

It stood originally on S. Forest Ave. near the Forest Ave. parking lot. On Friday the house was moved to a point near the Washtenaw Ave.-Stadium Blvd. intersection and "parked" off the highway over the weekend. Yesterday the slow journey was completed. Shady Knoll subdivision just off the Expressway, one miles east of the Ford plant, is typical of population growth in Eastern Washtenaw county. So far, there are 76 houses up, of which all but 12 are sold. Forty-one families are now living in the subdivision. Hannah sales agents report that the two-bedroom homes are by far the most popular. When finished, the streets will be complete with concrete curbs and gutters and asphalt surfacing supplied by the Madison Construction Co., buildings of the subdivision.

Pomp was nowhere to be found, but under the circumstances, that was understandable. Graduates of Community High School, Ann Arbor's alternative high school, celebrated commencement with an untraditional ceremony Tuesday. At left, graduating senior Madhu Srirama performs a classical Indian dance. 'It was a chance to give something of myself to them,' she said afterward.
