Theodore Wetzel spent Sunday in Lansing. Dr. C. B. Nancrede has returned from Europe. C. S. Millen and wife are in Chicago this week. Mrs. Louis Blitx, of Detroit, is in the city this week. Rev. Bartram, of Dearborn, was in the city, Monday. Ex-Prof. Jones, of Milwaukee, has been in the city this week. George Osius, of Detroit, has been in the city this week. Chas. Dietas, Jr., of Detroit, is visiting his Ann Arbor friends. The parents of C. Overbeck are visiting him. They hail from Toledo. A. P. Ferguson goes to St. Louis, Mo., next week, to exhibit his carts. Dr. V. C. Vaughan returned to this city from his European trip, Saturday. Jas. N. Riley, of Wagner & Co., is visiting his parents at Howell, this week. Mr. and Mrs. Fowler are visiting Mrs. Fowler's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam D. Seyler. Maj. Geo. Winans, private tary and son of Gov. Winans, was in the city, Monday. Edwin F. Mack, of Detroit, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christian Mack. Prof. C. S. Denison returned, Monday, from Royalton, Vt., where he spent the summer. Mrs. W. D. Adams spent several days the past week with her mother and sister in Jackson. J. C. Watts, of East Saginaw, spent several days this week with his family on Liberty street. Miss Lillie Condón, who has been spending the summer in the north, returns this week from Detroit. Mrs. O. M. Martin, with a lady friend from Saline, drove to Detroit Tuesday, to spend several days. Wm. Sweetman, of Meadeville, Pa., spent Sunday in this city, with his cousins, Delay and Delos Davis. Mrs. J. Edwards, of Baltimore, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Volz, returned home Wednesday. The Misses Lydia. Emma and Mollie Kolb, of Detroit, are the guests of their cousin, Charles Koch, of Ann Arbor town. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Whitmarsh, of Milan, spent several days during the past week with B. F. and W. W. Watts. Miss Ella E. Curry, of Sagnaw, is visiting her cousin, Mrs. Charles Koch, of Ann Arbor town', and other relatives in Washtenaw county. Edward Duffy left Tuesday for Lansing to attend a preliminary meeting of the Board of Control of which he has just been appointed a member. Oscar Burkhart, who has been in the employ of Schairer & Millen for several years, has severed his connection with that firra and will enter the medical department. Mrs. J. Bauman and daughter stopped from Friday until Monday with Mrs. D. F. Schairer. They were returning from a trip to Europe and continued their journey to their home at Omaha, Neb., Monday. Tuesday, Mrs. Louis Blitz received a cablegram announcing the serious illness of her husband in Germany, where he has been spending the summer for his health. She left immediately for New York and sailed Thursday to join him. Rev. M. W. Steffey, of South Bend, Ind., stopped over Sunday to visit his son, M. M. Steffey. Before returning he will attend the general conference of the Evangelical church at Indianapolis, to the conferences of which church he has been a delegate for the past thirtysix years.
