ATTENTION, COMRADES, G. A. R. 1865. On to Washmgton. 1892. Do you want to go? Tlieu read carefully. The Veterans of the Union Arrny will hold tfceir Annual Encampment in the city of Washington, D. C, Sept. 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 25. Xot again in the history of our country will such a concourse of the G. A. R. be seen together in au y city of our land. They will together recall the memories of the past and visit scènes historical, the battlefields of the Potomac, the Shenandoah and Gettysburg. The Department Headquarters train will leave Aun Arbor at 7:00 p. m., Sept. 17th, 1892, via the Toledo, Ann Arbor & North Michigan Ry. and the Pennsylvania 11. R. trom Toledo and will run through to Washington without caange of cars. This train will be elegantly decorated and bannered as the "Michigan Train, G.. 'A. R.," and of course you want to in it. To this train will be attached a car in which hot coffee, tea, sandwiches, nd lunches will be furnished en route at oiie-half the regular railroad eatinghouse rates. The scenery to-be enjoyed along the route of the Pennsylvania roadbeggars description. It is unsurpassed by any other route. The National G. A. R. special train will leave Frankfort, Mich., at 7 a. m., ' Saturday, Sept. 17th, picking up comrades from all points 'and connections south, and reaches'Ann Arbor at 5 p. m., where all passengers.and baggage will be taken on board the headquarter's train, all forvrarded "on to Washington" together, without change. The established rate for round trip from Ann Arbor is $12.45, but in event of any reduction by other lines from this territory, the same will be made accordingly by the T. A. A. & N; M. and Pennsylvania lines. Thosé who go to Washington to attènd the eneampment of the G. A. R. iriSeptember, will have the best opportunity of vjsiting Gettysburg by taking the line of thé Michigan Central and the Northern Central, which includes a side trip to Gettysburg either going oir rëturning. ' For those who wish to return by way of Philadelphia, all return tickets will be honored either via the short line or via Philadelphia, allowing stop-over at Baltimore, Philadelphia and Harrisburg. The stop at Philadelphia will permit of a side trip to New. York and return at the low rate of $4.00. During the summer season the Michigan Central gives the privilege of stopping over at Niágara Falls at any time within the life of the ticket returning, upon depositing it with the ticket Agent there, affording a valuable opportunity to see the beauties of the great cataract and vicinity at leisure, i Tickets are also sold to Washington via Toledo and the lines south and east therefrom. The Michigan Central is the shortest route, the best route, and offers inducements that no other line can give.
