The meeting of the southern oonvooa tinn of the diocese of Michigan held in WÍS city Jan. 28, had a smaller attendance than ia usual at its meetings. The oonvociition comprises the counties of Jaokson, Washtenaw, Hillsdale, Lenawee and LiiviDgston, and Rev. Henry Tatlock is dean of the oonvooation. lts ïuembership consista of all the olergy in the convocation and three lay delegates from each parish. The meeting opened with a celebration of the Holy Communion iu St. Andrew's ohuruh at 1 :30 a. m., conducted by Rev. HeDry Tatlock, assieted by Rev. A. H.-Stonex, of Brighton, anc Rev. W. R. Blackford of Tecumseh. This was followed by a short business sessiou. Lunch was served at 1 p. m., in Harris hall, by the ladies of the parish. At 3 p. m., in the chnroh, Rev. Jot eph T. Ewing, of Jouesville, read a paper on "The attitude which the Protestant Episcopal chnrch should take toward other leligious bodies. " A general discussion followed, participatec in by nearly everyone present. At the evening session in the churcb, excelleni addresses were delivered by Rev. W. R. Blackford, of Tecumseh, and Rev. W. G. Stonex, of Dexter, the topic ohosen being that of "Missions," referring to work within the diocese.
