The Exliibiüon of tlie gmduating elass of the High School of this city took place on Friday forenoon last, iu Union School Hall.- The liall was not as ivell fllloil as it sliouhl l,av(j been, Uut, neverllieloss, a largo and ftpnteciatipa audionco was preient. The class motto, "Ba True to Tliyself," surmounted tlie natioual flag al the back of' the stage.- IVo believe tlio Juniors are eillitled to tho credit for tlio taste displayed. The speakers aud readers acquitted Uiera selves not only creditably to tuernselves but to tlieir instructora aud the School. The Compositions and Orations gare evidence of niucli thought, and of considerable acquired skill in the use of language. Aud this is an attainmont to be )irized; for one of the important ends of school education is to fit the pupila for letting the circle in whioh they may be called to move kiiow, not by vain aud e upt yboastings, but with a modest hearing, that they have learned to think and reasoi aud to teil the results of their ihvestigatiODS. Latson, and Julia E. Mount.
