Thirty-five hands go up at U.S. District Court in Ann Arbor Thursday to affirm United States citizenship. U.S. District Judge Barbara K. Hackett and Washtenaw County Circuit Judge Kurtis T. Wilder, as well as Ann Arbor Mayor Ingrid Sheldon took part in the ceremony.

(standing, center), Ann Arbor's new city administrator, told city officials during last night's introduction meeting in the council chambers that he is glad to be here.
