Mayor Doing HIs Thing Mayor Robert J. Harris is aiding, in a minor way, the city's traffic and parking congestion problems, and also reducing city costs for gas mileage for City Council members. His bicycle is shown in the mayor's parking spot in the garage beneath City Hall, a means of transportation he uses when it doesn't rain. It is believed Harris is the first mayor of Ann Arbor to use this means of transportation to get to City Hall regularly -- at least the first since the automobile became an accepted form of transportation here.
