TAPPAN BOYS BUILD MODELS: Boys of Tappan school participating in a national airplane model-building program have produced the models shown above on display in the school shop. Four of the builders are pictured with the models. They are, left to right, Colin Hamberg, Howard Gelenius, Robert Kretschmer and Richard Keeton. The models were built under supervision of George Fisher, industrial arts instructor.

SNOW DRAGON SNAGS A JAP: Sculptor Avard Fairbanks has as the theme of his annual snow figure in the yard of his home on Lincoln Ave., a long-tailed dragon with the torn clothing of a Jap hanging from his mouth. Two of Fairbanks' sons are seen fearlessly playing around the dragon, apparently unafraid.

AND THE PAPA BEAR SAID-- When pupils in the kindergarten and first grade of Fritz school on Miller Rd. read the story of the three bears, they decided to give life to the tale by making snow bears on the school grounds. Autumn Jean Routson is the little girl arranging the porridge bowls on the snow table, and the others, from left to right, are: Harold Ownes, Grace Ann Nixon, Lloyd Vogel, Joyce Foster, Loretta Andrews and Joyce Kuebler.
