Bus System Hope(Full): Two methods of saving public bus transportation for Ann Arbor are increasing patronage and adding advertising to emphasize these points. Mayor Cecil O. Creal (at the wheel) poses in one of the rejuvenated buses with City Administrator Guy C. Larcom Jr. (at the rear). Arvin Marshall, new owner of City Bus Co., is hopeful that buses will be filled to capacity when service is resumed Monday and that advertising will cover the buses both inside and out, as illustrated above.

RECEIVE KEY TO CITY: “Mr. and Mrs. Michigan Travel,” Glen and Beverly Winn of Detroit, received a key to the city in a luncheon ceremony at the Ann Arbor Town Club yesterday. Left to right are City Administrator Guy C. Larcom, jr.; Harold Lage, assistant manager of the Automobile Club of Michigan’s Ann Arbor office; Winn; Mrs. Winn and Mayor Cecil O. Creal. The Winns stopped in Ann Arbor during a 10-day tour of Michigan sponsored by the Auto Club. The tour publicizes Michigan travel and the National Automobile Show in Detroit next month. The large placards are giant “tickets” to the auto show.
