Knox, special "good will" envoy from the New York world's fair of 1939, arrived in Ann Arbor yesterday, he was greeted at the city hall by Mayor Walter C. Sadler, Police Chief Lewis W. Fohey and William M. Strickland, manager of the local branch of the Automobile club. OPENS BASEBALL SEASON: Mayor Walter C. Sadler is shown throwing out the first ball at West Park last night as the newly-organized Industrial baseball league got under way with King-Seeley nosing out the American Broach nine, 6-5. The league will play all its games at West Park on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting at 5:45. The loop embraces five teams, King-Seeley, American Broach, Detroit Edison, Bell Telephone and Cook Springs.
