First step in Robert H. Wagner's determined plans for future independence was accomplished Thursday when Otto W. Haisley, Ann Arbor school superintendent, presented the 33-year-old disabled veteran with a high school diploma. Wagner, who lives at Horseshoe Lake, was paralyzed in one arm and both legs by a sniper's bullet which struck him down during the St. Lo offensive in 1944. He earned the high school diploma by successfully completing a course of studies at his home, and plans to follow up with a course that will qualify him as a professional accountant.
