Plan Polio Drive: Mrs. William Wood (left), county chairman for the annual "March of Dimes" polio drive, and Mrs. William B. Stegath (right), Ann Arbor city chairman for the drive, inspect a poster which will be used to advertise the campaign to fight the dread disease. The annual drive, which has been enlarged this year to include not only funds for relief of polio victims but also to fight arthritis, virus disease, birth diseases and diseases of the central nervous system, will be held from Jan. 2 through Jan. 31.

From left to right, the prize winners are James Murray of Brighton and Shirley Kaiser of Pinckney, both from Livingston county and Charles A. Smith of Gregory and Barbara C. Chapman of Ypsilanti representing Washtenaw. Mrs. Carl Johnson (right) of the March of Dimes committee is making the presentations. The four winners qualified for the National March of Dimes tourney.
