PLYMOUTH RD. FARM HOUSE ONCE AN INN: One of Washtenaw county's oldest houses, this farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman A. Staebler on Plymouth Rd. was used as a wayside inn a century ago. It was known as the "Half-Way House" and was popular with Detroit to Chicago travellers. The original deed to the property was signed by President Andrew Jackson in 1829.
