GOLFING FAMILY QUALIFIES: Three members of the Courtright family shown here qualified yesterday in the championship flight of the women's city golf tournament being played at the Municipal. Betty Jane Courtright (right) won medalist honors with a 79. Mary Anne Courtright (left) qualified with 97 while their mother Mrs. Elizabeth Courtright carded 100. The luck of the draw pitted the two Courtright daughters against each other in the first round of match play today. Mrs. Courtright opposed Ruth Carstens in the upper half of the top bracket and, should she win today, will oppose one of her daughters in tomorrow's round.

YOUNGEST IN TOURNAMENT: Suzanne Kessler, 14-year-old is the youngest player competing in the women's city tournament this week at the Municipal but she is more than holding her own against her older rivals. She was sixth down the list among the qualifiers with 97, won her opening match yesterday, 6 to 5. She had the satisfaction of qualifying three strokes under her mother, Mrs. Alfreda Kessler. She qualified for the semi-finals this morning by defeating Esther Folk, 3 and 2.

CITY TITLE MATCH ENDED HERE: Suzanne Kessler is shown making her approach putt on the 12th green at the Municipal course yesterday in her title match with Betty Jane Courtright. It was the first of three putts which she took on this green and she lost the hole and match to Betty by a count of 8 and 6. Miss Courtright is shown on the green at the extreme left and back of her is Jack Kessler, who caddied for his daughter. Betty went down in two putts on this green for a four. In her four tournament matches this week, Betty Jane ended them all on this same green, winning three decisions, 8 to 6 and another 7 and 6.
