College football in general, and Michigan football in particular, have few names as meaningful as Yost and Schembechler and the two families were together on the occasion of Mrs. Fielding H. Yost's 93rd birthday. Shemy, four years old and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bo Schembechler, presents a gift to the widow of the late coach whose Michigan teams from 1901 through 1926 won 165 games, lost just 29 and tied 12. Others who helped Mrs. Yost celebrate are Mrs. Don Lund (left), wife of the Michigan associate athletic director; Mrs. Ray Fisher (second from right), wife of the former Michigan baseball coach, and Mrs. Schembechler.
