Learning To Lead Cheers: The University this morning held its third annual cheerleaders clinic. Some 2,916 students and faculty representatives from 283 Michigan schools attended, according to University estimates. NEW HIGH SCHOOL FOOTINGS: Work on footings and grading of the new Ann Arbor High School site on Stadium Blvd., is essentially finished with just clean-up work remaining, school officials report. Henry W. deKoning Construction Co. was contractor on the preliminary work. Concrete in foreground will form floor of a running track in the high school gymnasium wing. Footings for a shop and classroom wing extending south are visible in background. Other classrooms and school offices will be in section connecting the gymnasium and auditorium section with the shop wing.

La Vie En Rose: The all-city high school dance to be held from 9 to 12 o'clock tomorrow night in St. Thomas School gymnasium will take its decoration theme from the song, "La Vie en Rose." Each girl attending will receive a rose as a favor. Other decorations will include tinseled stars and crepe paper. Planning decorations are Patricia Marney (left), Sylvia Malecki (seated) and Patricia Malone. Proceeds will be used for the Catholic Youth Center.
