AAHS Officer - Patrolman Robert D. Robinson, senior city patrolman, today assumed his new position as on-duty police officer at Ann Arbor High School. Robinson, 22-year veteran of police service, is a member of his department's Police-Community Relations section and has been active as an adult adviser in youth groups in Ann Arbor. He will be on duty each day the high school is in session and during vacation periods will draw assignments from Sgt. Kenneth B. Klinger, head of the Police-Community Relations Bureau.

The New Look: The eight motorcycle patrolmen in the Ann Arbor Police Department's Traffic Division have discarded their navy blue cloth "riding coats" worn in cold weather for the new, light blue nylon jackets. Police Chief Rolland J. Gainsley said the new jackets will be warmer and will give them easier movement. The officers are (left to right) Cpl. Alroy Vanderpool, Traffic Division command office, Patrolmen Walter DeDula, Robert Mueller, Arthur Hughes, Charles Fleming, Robert Robinson, William Miller, and Arvil Patton. Patrolman Robert O'Dell, also a motorcycle officer, was on University patrol duty at the time the picture was taken.

Where Stolen Purse Was Discarded: A mist-shrouded bridge on Superior Rd. across the Huron River where the three youths who admitted killing Nurse Pauline Campbell said they threw her purse was visited early this morning after the teen-agers confessed to the slaying. At the scene (left to right) are Ann Arbor Police Lieutenant Walter Krasny; William R. Morey, 18, admitted striking the fatal blows; Patrolman Robert Robinson; David L. Royal, 17, who took part in the robbery-slaying; State Police Detective Joseph Liebherr (behind Royal); and Capt. Rolland Gainsley of the Ann Arbor Police Department. A tip by a Michigan State Normal College sophomore led to the arrest of Morey, Royal and Jacob M. Pell, 18.
