His buddy, Brian Young, watched with interest at the Ann Arbor Model Cities Health Fair held Saturday at the Community Center 625 N. Main, But not everyone had an easy time of it. There were some tense moments for Leslie Fair (in photo at right) who created a sight of relief after an immunization shot. Lending Leslie some support was Ellen Bishop, one of the workers from 35 agencies who participated in the free medical testing event. The fair continues today from noon to 5 p.m. and is open to the public. There will be testing for hearing, vision, anemia, TB, diabetes, sickle cell, hypertension and back and nerve problems. It's A Family Affair: Andrew Bishop, 8, gets a few hints on the art of book selection for the Ann Arbor Public Library's Summer Reading Club which opens tomorrow from his sister Ellen, 10, who joined the club last year. An older brother David, 12, will be in the club's junior high school reading section, and their Sister Christine, 16, was a member from 1954 to 1959. Parents of the enthusiastic readers are Dr. and Mrs. Ronald C. Bishop, Lincoln Ave. The children are sitting beside the colorful poster which sets the theme for this year's program, "The California Gold Rush."
