Flames Paint Ann Arbor Sky: Showers of sparks, flying brands and flames that reached a height of 100 feet marked this spectacular fire at the old Lansky junk yard building at Detroit and N. Division Sts. early this morning. The picture was taken just after the collapse of the frame front wall (left) of White's Farm Store. Silhouetted against the burning building in the front left foreground is the Fire Department ladder truck. Hose from this vehicle sprayed second story windows.

Fire Forms Wooden 'Lacework': The rear wall of this flaming structure between Beakes and Detroit Sts. at N. Division is watched by fascinated spectators shortly after 1:30 a.m. this morning as firemen spray the building itself and an adjacent home (far right) with powerful hoses. Fire Chief Benjamin J. Zahn said that the fire may have started in the area behind a neon sign.
