The new Clinton Elementary School, under construction since the fall of 1966, is shown here nearing completion. The school is located at the intersection of Stone School Rd. and I-94. The top photo shows one of the entranceways to the brick school, while the bottom photo pictures one of the kindergarten classrooms, with sinks in the background and coat racks to the left. Clinton was scheduled to open in September of 1967, but various strikes delayed its opening. According to Planner-Expediter Sooren Gozmanian, classes will begin Monday morning, Dec. 4.
