(Ypsilanti Press): A SLIPPERY SLIDE caught the eye of one-year-old Beverly Brown when she and her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown, 1124 DeSoto Ave., visited one of the five playgrounds of the Recreation Department. Little Beverly, probably one of the youngest persons to take part in the large program offered by the department in its "something for the whole family program..." is ready to try the smooth ride again.

(Ypsilanti Press): BUBBLE GUM BATTLE is in full force, and Gary Bickley, 10, of 1308 Pearl St., ios well on his way to being Biggest Bubble Blower Champ. Gary, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bickley, took part in the contest as a part of the special activities sponsored by the department each Friday afternoon. Another once-a-week program planned for the youngsters is day camp when the entire playground boards a bus and heads for the beach under the direction of playground leaders.
