Halloween pumpkins were carved this morning--assembly line style--by Mrs. Jean Vining's fourth graders at Stone Elementary School in Ann Arbor. Hard at work are members of the "Stone Pumpkin Company" (from left) Mrs. Vining, Lee Barris, Krysten Jones, Betty Johnson and (rear, from left) Wendy Maeda and Karla Tyra. One student designed the pumpkin, another was the first eye cutter, second eye cutter, nose cutter, ear and mouth cutter. The students recently learned about the assembly line process of the auto industry.
