In night school classes, persons from all walks of life - professional, housewives, business, factory, clerical, retired - develop new interests. Mrs. Pearl Sellards, jewelry instructor, notes that some students come to her class to mount gems cut and polished in lapidary classes.

These Ann Arbor senior citizens learned about the art of jewelry-making this summer at the renovated Burns Park Barn. The class was sponsored by the Ann Arbor Recreation Department. The department hopes to offer regular classes this fall to senior citizens on a number of interesting topics. Pictured are (from left) Emma Zemke, teacher Pearl Sellards, Fay Bileti and Jack Schwartz.
