(left), a polio victim and the mother of four small children, is shown here during one of her regular visits for supervision and treatment at University Hospital. Mrs. Johnson, the daughter of U-M Prof. and Mrs. T. H. Hildebrandt, was stricken by the disease in July, 1953. With her are Dr. Leonard F. Bender, staff physician of the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation at the hospital, and Miss Marian Bergen, physical therapist in the same department.
