Judy Freeman, who will be a senior at the U-M this fall, has spent her summer working as a laboratory assistant for the nuclear chemical group in the Phoenix Memorial Laboratory. Besides taking counts from the 100-channel analyzer pictured, Judy does everything from washing glassware and keeping the "hot" lab clean to weighing monitor foils. She is the daughter of Prof. and Mrs. James W. Freeman of Hilldale Rd. Judy assists both students and researchers.
