LAYING FLOOR OF PREFABRICATED CONCRETE HOME: A novel idea in home-building is being undertaken in Ann Arbor this summer with the erection of two prefabricated concrete homes by Cook Floors on Pontiac Rd. The pre-cast concrete panels forming the floor are shown above. When sealed in place, the floor panels will form ducts on their under-surfaces through which hot air can be forced, thus providing radiant heating for the homes.

Seven of approximately 30 new homes that have been or are in the process of being built in the North Side section of Ann Arbor are shown in the picture above. These houses are on Indianola Dr. which is off Pontiac St. To the right of this picture, five other new homes are to be built. Builders who are active in the area include Staebler & Sons, Arbie B. Clever, Cook Floors, and others.
