Members of the Ann Arbor High School band, who will make their first public appearance in their natty new uniforms at a concert tonight, are shown as they tried them on at rehearsal. In the foreground (left to right) are Director William R. Champion, Donald MacLeod, Donald Waters and Walter Maynard. Proceeds from tonight's concert at 8:15 p.m. in the school auditorium will be used to help defray the expense of the uniforms. Members of the committee on uniforms were Raymond Matthews, chairman; Ivan Cuthbert, Mrs. H. K. Burch, Mrs. J. F. Fahrner, Mrs. E. R. Chaufty, Arthur Wright and Miss Anna Steele.

HOLLWAY IN SPOTLIGHT: While the Ann Arbor High band played "He's a Jolly Good Fellow," Pioneer Athletic Director Lou Hollway enjoyed another fine moment following ceremonies which officially dedicated the school's new grid layout as Hollway Field. Supt. Jack Elzay, Principal Nicholas Schreiber, School Board President Frederic House, Mayor William E. Brown, jr., Michigan Athletic Director Fritz Crisler and Michigan Football Coach Ben Oosterbaan all offered special congratulations during the half-time interlude of last night's Ann Arbor High-Wayne opener. Hollway was lauded for 34 years of service to the public schools and the community.
