Windows 'Bring In' Miles Of Out-Of-Doors ~ This is the new home of Prof. and Mrs. Leslie White at 189 Avon Rd. The flat-roofed structure was built in form of a cross to satisfy the requirements of Prof. White for a quiet study and to make best use of the hilltop site's fine view to the east. The large expanse of window area in the living room [this photo], modern furnishings and unusual fireplace lend an air of uniqueness to the home. In the background are seen the dining room (right of fireplace) and the porch (through windows) and the corridor to the master bedroom (at left). The "box" closet is visible behind the fireplace. The kitchen entrance is immediately beyond it. The lamp at the top of the living room picture is one of the may fixtures that lend interest to the home. It is imported from Finland.
