Black Dragon Lily: Dorothy Langley, of 2681 Maplewood, examines one of the blooms on her Black Dragon Lily, which has grown to an unusual height of five feet. Ordinarily this plant grows only to a height of three or four feet, says an expert at the U-M Botanical Gardens. The Black Dragon Lily, real name of which is "Hydrosme Rivieri," is not a real lily, but it's in the same family as "Jack in the Pulpit." The flowers, as you can see, are quite unusual too.
