1972
Published In:
Ann Arbor News, April 25, 1972
Caption:
Another sign of spring is in evidence in front of the home of Dr. William E. Brown III, 2101 Belmont Rd. Exactly 78 plastic bags full of leaves, twigs and other natural yard refuse left over by winter are neatly lined up along the curb waiting to be collected by city trucks. The outdoor spring cleanup project that produced such sizeable results was conducted all last week after school by the Browns' son, Bill, and two friends. At a quarter a bag, a kid could get rich.
