Wind's Terrific Force Illustrated: These pieces of wood, one of them a 2x6 plank, driven into the side of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roeckel Bowdell of Detroit at Little Gallagher lake, southwest of Lakeland, show the force of the wind that accompanied Saturday night's storm. The wood is from a nearby home that was completely wrecked. The Bowdell home was moved eight feet off its foundation. A timber that came through the side of the house narrowly missed hitting a little girl.
