Twenty-four youths and four counselors headed for the Manistee River last night on the First United Methodist Church bus to camp and paddle 50 river miles over the weekend. An instruction session was held before the trip which included lessons in paddling and safety for all. Some of the youths preparing for the trip are, from left to right, Debbie Dypold, Marian Hildegrandt, Marlyn Amick, Laurie Burns, Paula Datsko, Roger Goss and a counselor, James Nixon. All are expecting the trip to be full of fun.
