Taking Part In Ice Show: Posing before going into their "Around the World" number in this weekend's "Melody on Ice" show are (back to front, left to right) Chris Jewell (representing Thailand), Patty Loukotka (Australia), Sheree Fisher (Greece), Jane Dickinson (Russia), Sarah Gikas (England), and Joy Gillett (Switzerland). Almost 400 persons have roles in the annual ice show at the Michigan Ice Rink. Featured are four guest stars: gold medal winner Ardith Paul of Colorado Springs, easter junior men's title holder Gordon McKellen of Lake Placid, and a dance team of Vicki Camper and Gene Heffron, seventh placers in recent world competition. Performances are set for Saturday and Sunday.

Christopher Gies, Jane Dickinson and Peter Shipman (left to right) recall the history of the first Thanksgiving and why the Pilgrims celebrated it. The children are learning a blessing and making table decorations for Thursday's celebration.
